Project Server 2013: End of Mainline Support

April 10th 2018 marked the end of mainline support for Project and Project Server 2013. How does this affect you?

After this date, Microsoft will only be applying fixes to these products that are security related. There will no longer be any new or developing features for Project, Project Server and Sharepoint 2013. As of April 11th, Microsoft will update the minimum support build for these products. That means you will need to patch to the below minimum supported builds, if you have not done so already, to receive support from Microsoft. If you contact support and have not done so; you will be asked to do so before any support is rendered for these products.

Important Dates: Support End Date
Service Pack 1 4/10/2018
April 2017 Public Update – March 2018 Public Update 4/10/2019
April 2018 Public Update – all future Public Updates 4/11/2023

If you are currently using these products; hopefully, you are considering upgrading to Project Server 2016, 2019 or Project Online to avoid any service interruption or interfacing issues. Please feel free to reach out to your EPMA support team or representative, and they will be happy to cover this information with you and address any questions you may have. Or if you would like to see the detailed support information from Microsoft regarding these important product support dates, you can find that here: Technet
